LANDSCAPE FOREMAN
General Qualifications: This individual must have sound knowledge of the landscape industry, including, but not limited to, landscape plant materials, procedures, construction and design. The ability to lead and organize a crew efficiently and at the same time provide a quality-finished product is a prerequisite. Good communication skills and a positive outlook with a willingness to work until a project is complete and exceeds the customers expectations are essential:
Horticulture, landscape construction or applicable experience.
Willingness and ability to become a Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional.
Willingness and ability to obtain a Chemical Applicators License.
Paver and retaining wall installation knowledge required.
Able to coordinate and lead a landscape crew.
Excellent customer relation skills.
Able to foresee potential problems and prevent them from occurring.
Good communication skills.
Well-organized and efficient.
Able to keep accurate records
Installation knowledge ofgreen goods, natural stone walls, paver patios, and water features.
Safety conscious.
Good driving record, class A license a plus, health card required.
Able to operate Sod-cutter, Roto-tiller, trenchers, Bobcat, Dump Trucks, and miscellaneous hand tools.
Able to take directions, offer advice, and work as an integral part of our corporation.
Ability and willingness to enforce the company’s policies and manual.
Willingness to assist any other department or Manager as requested.
Willingness to put in efforts to complete all assigned tasks productively.
Other responsibilities include: over seeing all aspects of installation from figuring job material, ordering product, reading job plans and blueprints, loading materials and equipment, installing and maintaining plants both on job site and at shop, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency of work, completing jobs on a schedule, collecting payments for jobs, filing paper work, and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
